Sheboygan County:
I moved to Sheboygan County in March of 2001 from rural Douglas County
(25 miles south, east of Superior). We purchased our home in December 02.
Education:
I graduated from Auburndale High School in 1987. I completed mechanics
school in the U.S. Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina 1988. I also graduated
from Mid-State Technical College with an Associate Degree in Mechanical
Design in 1992.
Family:
My wife Celeste and I have a 15 year old son, Keegan and another due in May, name undecided.
Political experience:
In the last year I have served as a Waldo Trustee.I have aided in the codification of our village ordinances, helped
in the planning of subdivisions, worked on the budget to keep our taxes
in the lowest in the country. I opposed the burning ban where one of my
opponents authored it.The
previous two years I was an active (un-elected) participant in the Waldo
village board. While in Bennett, WI (DouglasCounty), I wrote, submitted, and passed a town ordinance that
allowed snowmobile’s to use the right of way
directly from their house to the trail. I also helped work out the town
budget as well as a few zoning issues.
Other Relevant

I am an active member of Immanuel Bible Church in Sheboygan, WI. I am
also serving as an Assistant Scout Master in troop 824 Elkhart Lake. I
have been involved in Scouting for over 5 years.
Military experience:
I served in the United States Army from Sept 1987 to Sept 1989. I
was released with an Honorable Discharge due to end of enlistment. Awards
and achievements include Mechanics Badge of Merit, Medal of Good Conduct,
and a graduate of Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Training.
Why am I seeking
this office?
I feel it is the duty of every citizen to be involved with government.
Voting is only the start. Voters should hold those in elected position
accountable for their actions and tell them how they would like the issues
to be resolved. I hope to represent a people who care about our community.
What will your
priorities be?
I expect to keep our portion of the tax burden down, while investing
revenue wisely on necessary projects.
- I expect to keep our portion
of the tax burden down, while investing revenue wisely on necessary projects.
- Because of the
new subdivisions being proposed, there will be additional burden on
the well and sewer systems. The well and water treatment plants in Waldo
are about 50 years old; updating these systems can get costly. I hope
we can implement a TIFF district that will offset our costs and get
a system that will meet our needs next 50 years. This TIFF district
could get us what we need without adding the burden to the current village
residents.
Hobbies include:
Family activities, vehicle mechanics, motorcycling, airplanes,
farming and chess.
